Putin: We are in danger again from German tanks. But the war doesn't end
Vladimir Putin in Volgograd

"As in Stalingrad, we are still threatened by Nazism. Russia is again threatened by German tanks (Leopard tanks donated to Kiev). These are the words of Vladimir Putin in Volgograd at the commemorative ceremony for the Soviet victory in the Battle of Stalingrad.

Regarding the situation of the special operation as Russia describes it, he explained: "We are sure of our victory" (in Ukraine). Regarding the Western weapons sent to Kiev, Putin said that there are "attempts to push Europe, including Germany, into war with Russia".

He added that "those who push Germany towards a new war and expect to win on the battlefield do not understand that the modern war with Russia is another thing".

"A war against Russia today would not end with the use of tanks, because we have something to respond to," Russian President Vladimir Putin was quoted as saying by Interfax, speaking in Volgograd, the former Stalingrad.
