Lavrov makes serious accusations against the USA: You are involved in the damage

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has accused the United States of America on Thursday of being behind the damage to the Nord Stream gas pipeline.

The Russian top diplomat did not provide any evidence to support his accusations, but emphasized that the US is directly involved in last year's incident in the Baltic Sea.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin accused Great Britain of the explosion, accusations which London has denied.

Also, according to the Foreign Minister, Russia wants the conflict in Ukraine to end, "but will answer to the West for the weapons it has sent to Kiev."

According to Sergei Lavrov, Moscow's forces will not stand idly by before the West sends heavy weapons "with the aim of pushing Ukrainian forces as far as possible from the borders."

In an interview on state television, the Russian top diplomat said that everyone would like the war in Ukraine to end, but "the aid that the West is giving to Kiev is playing an important role in how Russia is approaching the situation."
