President Natasa Pirc Musar, in a press conference with the head of state, Bajram Begaj, stated that Slovenia supports Albania's integration into the European Union.

The Slovenian president declared that the countries of the European Union must fulfill their duties and open the doors to accept the new states.

"We will support the European integration of the Balkan countries, especially Albania.

European elections are important, on June 9 we will also vote in Slovenia.

We must be aware that the EP is the only institution directly chosen by us, there our word is heard. I believe that we will know how to distinguish between good and bad.

It depends a lot on the EU member states whether we will fulfill our duty and accept the new states with open doors.

This is not an easy process. The will to enter the EU is decreasing, something like this is seen in North Macedonia, we must be aware and have enough wisdom to carry out this process. The tasks must be performed by both parties", said  Natasa Pirc Musar.
