The aftermath of the LDK betrayal. It all started at a dinner...

In politics, rarely does everything happen in front of the cameras. Many scenarios begin far from the public eye, in environments where words are measured and silence is worth more than statements. According to the stories that are circulating more and more openly in political circles today, one such scenario is said to have begun at a dinner party.

It was said to be a meeting organized by Isa Mustafa, former chairman of the LDK, where a well-known circle of old party figures gathered. A political guard that for years had been linked to power, to the logic of bargaining, and to a party model that recent reforms had called into question.

At that table, according to this political narrative, were names that have long been considered critics of the LDK's reform course: Avdullah Hoti, Hykmete Bajrami, Agim Veliu and Besnik Berisha. An informal meeting, but with an unwritten political agenda. The meeting, although not publicly declared, is said to have had a clear purpose: the coordination of an internal action that would not be announced, but that would be directly felt in the result.

In the weeks that followed, the accounts also speak of another dimension of the scenario: the management of public perception. It is said that some media outlets and critical voices were taken care of by Valon Ademi, a controversial businessman linked to the Vlora Airport project. According to these allegations, he had built a network of critical analysts and commentators, some of whom are rumored to have been financially incentivized to feed a continuous narrative against Lumir Abdixhiku. These are allegations that today circulate as part of this political narrative and that explain the unusual synchronization of some media attacks.

Meanwhile, within the party, according to the same narrative, a “surprise” was being prepared. It is said that Gazmend Muhaxheri and Imri Ahmeti played a key role in organizing a secret scenario at the party assembly, a move that aimed to change the outcome at the last moment through an internal maneuver, far from the real will of the membership.

In this context, Isa Mustafa is mentioned as the political architect of the entire scheme. A master of parliamentary maneuvers, who according to his critics had executed a similar scenario in 2010, when the result of the Assembly had suddenly changed to the detriment of Fatmir Sejdiu. History, according to this narrative, was trying to repeat itself.

Even, according to the voices that speak about this process today, the night before the Assembly, Isa Mustafa and Agim Veliu, along with Hykmete Bajrami and Avdullah Hoti, are said to have celebrated, convinced that the scenario was closed and that the surprise would happen.

But the next day, everything failed.

The vote did not go according to plan. The surprise did not happen. The membership behaved differently than expected. The party branches, local structures and figures with integrity did not become part of the game. They stood firmly on the side of real will and not behind the scenes.

The faces of those who, according to this narrative, had invested in political betrayal faded. Gazmend Muhaxheri and Imri Ahmeti, who are rumored to have initiated the execution of the secret script, were among the most stunned.

Their complete silence, in the face of the explosion of organic joy in the hall, replaced the certainty of the previous night. What was intended as an internal coup ended up as a complete failure.

The parliament was not overthrown. The party was not taken hostage. And for the first time in a long time, the LDK showed that, despite dark plans and secret scenarios, its membership still knows how to stand tall.

In the end, this story, whether true or perceived, remains a political warning: that in LDK, despite everything, the will of the majority can be stronger than the backstage minority.

And that sometimes, even the most prepared scenarios fall short of the dignity of ordinary party members./Gazeta Dita
