In its announcement, the Embassy emphasizes that marriage fraud is considered a federal crime in the United States and is associated with serious legal consequences for the persons involved.
“Marriage fraud is a federal crime in the United States and can lead to serious penalties,” the Embassy emphasizes.
The Embassy urges citizens to always follow legal immigration pathways to enter the United States.
"Always choose a legal immigration process to enter the country and ensure proper documentation," the Embassy's message concludes.
