Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban is visiting Serbia where he met with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić in Subotica.
The meeting began quite informally, with the two of them eating a meal of pie.
"They say that strategic partnerships are discussed at large tables, but Viktor Orban and I decided to do this over a hot pie, because the friendship between Serbia and Hungary has long since become stronger than all protocols. I am glad that we ignited this meeting with a good conversation and an even better burek," Vučić wrote in a Facebook post, attaching several photos from the buregdžinica 'Mićko' in Subotica.
Hungary's MOL could buy a stake in Serbian refinery NIS, which is owned by Russia, and talks on this are underway, Prime Minister Viktor Orban's chief of staff said on Thursday.
Serbia needs to find a buyer for NIS, which is under US sanctions because of its Russian ownership. The sanctions have banned the shipment of crude oil from Croatia's JANAF pipeline.
