Serious event in Tetovo, minor girl kills 16-year-old man

A 16-year-old boy was found dead on Thursday morning in Tetovo, in the course of the Shkumbin river.

The 16-year-old is suspected to have been attacked by a female of his age with hard objects in the place called "Banja" in Tetovo.

Initially, it was reported that this case was a suspected suicide, but the police said that the suspicions are now murder.

The defense lawyer of the girl in question, Ibrahim Bajrami, announced that the girl is being kept under specialized psychiatric supervision.

"At the moment I can say that it is about a female minor, under 18 years old. The case is under investigative procedure and as such, due to the correct clarification of the case, it is better to let the authorities do their job at this stage. The person I have taken to represent will be under the supervision of the professional medical staff, to confirm her psycho-physical condition. This is very important to prove the factual situation regarding the very tragic case", declared lawyer Bajrami.

Meanwhile, the police are continuing the investigation to find out the causes that led to the serious incident.
