From the North Pole to the Mediterranean! NATO begins troop relocation after

Following an unprecedented incident of Russian drones intruding into Polish airspace, several NATO member countries have begun relocating troops and fighter jets to the eastern flank of the military alliance.

Denmark, France and Germany have confirmed their participation in a new mission to strengthen NATO air defenses in the East. Denmark will send two F-16 jets and a warship, while France will contribute three Rafale jets and Germany four Eurofighters. The UK has also announced full support, with details expected soon.

The move comes after Poland reported that 19 Russian drones flew into its airspace on Wednesday. Some were shot down by air defenses, while others fell in residential areas in the east of the country, causing material damage. Polish and European leaders called the act a deliberate provocation by Russia.

Meanwhile, the Kremlin stated that it had no plans to strike targets in Poland and added that peace talks with Kiev are on "pause".

At an emergency session of the UN Security Council on Friday, the US and European countries expressed full support for Poland. Acting US Ambassador to the UN, Dorothy Shea, stressed that the US will defend “every inch of NATO territory.”

Poland's Secretary of State, Marcin Bosacki, presented photos of one of the downed drones and the damage caused to the UN, saying: "We know it was not a mistake."

The Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Lithuania have also pledged military reinforcements in the region. Germany said it would further intensify its engagement along NATO's eastern border and expand its air policing missions over Poland.
