Former Iranian president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad , was killed by American and Israeli attacks on Tehran.

Khamenei's death has sparked protests in Pakistan, where at least nine people were killed near the US consulate.

Hamas, Hezbollah, Iraq and Russia have expressed their condolences, condemning Khamenei's assassination.

The International Atomic Energy Agency will hold an emergency meeting on Monday regarding the situation.
