Meeting in Brussels

The joint meeting between Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic in Brussels, in the presence of European mediators, EU High Representative Josep Borrell and special envoy Miroslav Lajçak, ended without an agreement.

However, Kurti said after the meeting that in the talks in Brussels, the parties agreed on the content of the European proposal.

"It was a confirmation that the European proposal is acceptable and unchangeable. Moving forward will be about the implementation plan. We are on a good and one-way path of normalizing relations. It is an agreement of symmetry, of good neighborliness and cooperation in the future", said Kurti.

"I did not sign because the other party was not ready to sign. I think it's a shame that it wasn't signed tonight, since we agreed ," he added.

Asked why no agreement was signed at the meeting in Brussels, Kurti said that it was Serbia that "wasn't ready to sign".

"I think it's a shame it wasn't signed tonight, since we agreed," he added.

As for his willingness to implement the agreements for the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority in Kosovo, Kurti said that he spoke about this earlier.

"That is article 10, it is the last sentence of practically the last article, and I have now responded to this," he told reporters in Brussels.
