The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, has declared that no soldier or policeman from Serbia has entered across the border with Kosovo.

He said that Serbian police arrested three Kosovo policemen 1.8 kilometers from the border.

"These people have nothing to search for in the Tresava-Batnjik area without the approval of KFOR, especially with long barrels," said Vucic on Radio Television of Serbia (RTS).

Vucic said that the Serbian Army was 20 kilometers away from the place of arrest.

The Kosovo Police said that at noon on June 14, three police officials were allegedly kidnapped by Serbian forces during a patrol in a place called Tresave/Bare, on the border line in the north of Kosovo.

The police described it as a "classic organized kidnapping" within the territory of Kosovo.

The heads of state in Kosovo have condemned this action, which they described as an "act of aggression", asking the international factor to condemn Serbia and the police officials to be released immediately.

Vucic said that "we are at the crossroads of whether we will continue to have peace or not".

He accused the prime minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, of wanting to "cause war and conflicts" at any cost.

"We will see what the real intentions of the arrested were," he said.

Commenting on media reports that the Government of Kosovo has banned the import of goods from Serbia, Vucic said that this shows that "you want to torture the people in the north, leave them without medicine and basic food".

The media in Kosovo have reported that Kosovo has banned the import of goods from Serbia, although the Government has not yet officially confirmed this.
