Serbian extremist slogans north of Mitrovica

On Thursday, new graffiti was displayed in northern Mitrovica with the extremist message "When the army returns to Kosovo, the Northern Brigade lives".

This graffiti is placed on the wall of one of the residential buildings in the city centre in the north of the country.

Similar graffiti is reported to have appeared in Zvecan, Leposavic and Zubin Potok.

There is no response from the Kosovo Police.

The situation in the north continues to be fragile since the September 24, 2023 terrorist attack in Banjska, where police sergeant, Afrim Bunjaku, was killed.
