The mayor "finds" the solution for winter and advises citizens: Warm

As the energy crisis has "caught" and is threatening the whole world now that the winter season is approaching, the mayor of Rimini, Jamil Sadegholvaad, has advised the residents to use an old method to keep warm.

He has chosen to postpone the Region's anti-smog measures to improve air quality: the restrictions, in fact, would risk putting too much weight on citizens' pockets given the expected super rises in gas bills.

It has given the green light to open fireplaces and wood stoves, which the plan prohibits for areas below 300 meters above sea level.

"It will be only for this year. Right now I can't help but consider the real emergency of energy, with expensive bills that are falling like a knife on the expenses and living conditions of families, and that it will fall even more in the coming weeks," he said.

Environmental advisers have expressed the need to balance environmental needs (improvement of air quality) with economic and social ones, at a time of serious difficulties for families, organizations and businesses.
