American billionaire Jeff Bezos and President Donald Trump had a close relationship during and after the US presidential campaign, but it seems that their relationship has now taken a hit.

The clash began when "Amazon", the online shopping giant, announced that it would set the price of fees in addition to the price of each product.

This means that buyers will be able to see and understand why the price of a product has increased and how much of the added value is due to the tariffs that Trump has imposed on countries around the world, especially China.

US Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt went so far as to call Amazon's action a "hostile and political act" in response to a reporter.

She held up a news article with a large photo of Amazon owner Jeff Bezos, and claimed that it showed Amazon was in partnership with the "Chinese propaganda arm."

Scott Bessent, the Trump administration's Treasury secretary who was also present at the press conference, suggested that the financial market chaos caused by the tariffs a few weeks ago was intentional. According to him, Trump deliberately created "strategic uncertainty" in order to reach "the best possible trade deals."
