Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has started the new year 2025 with provocations aimed at Kosovo, Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"My message to Zagreb, Sarajevo and Pristina: Happy New Year and hope in vain, you will not change power in Serbia," he said on Instagram.
Vucic is risking a sit-in after mass protests following the Novi Sad incident that left dozens dead.
In late 2024, protests were also staged in the Serbian capital, Belgrade, where protesters blocked squares in a sign of a threat to the current Vucic regime.
On New Year's Eve, a massive protest over his resignation was organised by students in Belgrade.
