Israeli war cabinet minister Benny Gantz has resigned from the government after disagreements over Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's plans for the Gaza conflict.
Gantz announced his resignation during a press conference today where he said Netanyahu is preventing them from getting closer to a real victory.
Last month, Gantz set a June 8 deadline for Netanyahu to show how Israel would achieve six "strategic goals," including ending Hamas rule in Gaza and establishing a multinational civilian administration for the territory.
Netanyahu dismissed the comments at the time, saying they meant "loss for Israel."
Gantz has been a member of Israel's top decision-making war cabinet, along with Prime Minister and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
