New details from the arrest of Miss Bolivia, Alondra Mercado Campos , by the police on unheard of charges of arms trafficking.

The suspect Alondra Mercado Campos, otherwise known to her tens of thousands of followers on social networks as Alondra MC, 22 years old, was Miss Bolivia Mundo 2020 and also Miss Charm Bolivia 2023.

She constantly gives her 40,000 followers on social networks bikini pictures from the beach or other photos of seductive outfits in dresses from VIP events.

But now she is being held in the prison of Trinidad in Beni, in the northeast of Bolivia, accused of arms trafficking. Local media reports that she was found with a significant amount of AK-47 weapons and ammunition in her home.

Campos received a 30-day pretrial detention order after tests on her car also proved drug possession charges, according to prosecutors.

Her boyfriend, known in the area as Andrés Vásquez, is currently wanted by justice for questioning on drug trafficking in the area.

Beni's prosecutor, Geraldo Balderas, said on the case: " Her boyfriend is being investigated for trafficking in controlled substances and is currently on the run ."

Balderas said videos found on Campos' cellphone showed him and his partner at a number of illegal events with guns already seized by police.

The arrest of Mercado Campos was shocking news to many, although the main focus was the capture of her partner Vásquez.
