NATO's peacekeeping mission in Kosovo, KFOR, has dismissed the possibility of arms smuggling by ambulances from the Serbs in the North of Kosovo.

In a statement to the media, KFOR says there is no evidence to support the statements of British MP Alicia Kearns, who was the first to raise concerns about the arming of Serbian extremists in the north.

"There is no evidence even regarding the alleged smuggling carried out by ambulances through the administrative border line between Kosovo and Serbia", KFOR declared today.

KFOR's reaction comes just one day after the foreign newspaper "The Geopost" published a video of an ambulance allegedly distributing weapons to Serbs in North Mitrovica during the riots.

"Geopost", which is a media that focuses on developments in the Balkan region, reported yesterday that the smuggling was carried out by the Serb already arrested by the Kosovo police, Milun "Lune" Milenkovic, head of "Civil Defense".

Regarding Kearns' statements, KFOR said it was likely that she was referring to an occasion in 2022 "when the Royal Fusilier Battalion was in northern Kosovo in support of KFOR's mission".

"The alleged presence of illegal weapons was reported to the KFOR Headquarters, but after further investigations to confirm this, no evidence has emerged for what was reported," the press release states.
