"You have 10 days" - Trump warns Iran: Bad things will happen if you

President Donald Trump stated during his speech at the Peace Council in Washington that a decision on Iran could be made within the next 10 days.

"We may have to go a step further, or we may not. We may make a deal. You'll find out over the next 10 days or so, but this meeting today is proof that with determined leadership, nothing is impossible," Trump said at the inaugural meeting of his Peace Board in Washington, DC.

The U.S. military is prepared to strike Iran as early as this weekend, but Trump has not yet made a final decision on whether to authorize such action, CNN reported Wednesday. The president has privately argued both for and against military action and has polled advisers and allies on the best course of action, a source said.

Trump again called on Iran to reach a deal, threatening that "bad things" would happen if a deal was not reached.

 "Now is the time for Iran to join us on a path that will finish what we're doing. And if they join us, that will be very good. If they don't join us, that will be very good too, but it will be a very different path. They can't continue to threaten the stability of the entire region and they have to make a deal. If it doesn't happen, it doesn't happen. Bad things will happen," Trump said.
