US President Donald Trump did not spare jokes during a speech in Washington, where he mentioned some of his administration's achievements, including the agreement for Saudi Arabia to invest $1 trillion in the US.
While talking about falling food prices, Trump said that the price of turkey has dropped by 33%. He then asked the audience not to confuse him with the country of Turkey, as he doesn't want Erdogan to call him complaining.
"We were heading for death. We were in a very bad direction. According to statistics, Turkey is down 33%, and I'm not talking about Turkey, they're doing well. I don't want Erdogan to call me and say I'm not down 33%. We have to take care of our friends, we have good friends," Trump said.
