Investigations into the horrific murder of an Albanian woman in Ampelokipi, Greece, by her 39-year-old husband are still ongoing.
According to the latest information, the hammer with which the 39-year-old hit the woman before finally strangling her has been found.
According to local media, the 39-year-old had hidden the hammer in the attic where he had been keeping the woman's body for days.
As it became known yesterday, after hitting his wife with a hammer, the 39-year-old then strangled her.
The cause is said to have been a phone call the woman received from her friend while she was in the bathroom to talk to him. The 39-year-old man heard the call, became angry and decided to kill her.
His first move was, according to informed sources, to take a sheet and hide his wife's body in their room.
When their children woke up the next morning and got ready for school, they asked their father where their mother was and he replied that she had gone to work. The children went to school and then the perpetrator took them to his brother.
When the children were finally due to return home, the 39-year-old decided to call authorities and confess to the crime, saying he killed his wife last Thursday.
The call was made shortly after 6:00 PM yesterday afternoon with police officers arriving at the scene immediately sensing a foul odor coming from the black bags in the attic of the house. In fact, he is suspected of having wrapped the body in cloth and plastic.
