Giorgia Meloni is the "most powerful person in Europe" according to the ranking of the American newspaper "Politico" for 2025.
"Who do you call if you want to talk to Europe? If you're Elon Musk, the richest man in the world and a top adviser to US President-elect Donald Trump, the number you're calling belongs to Giorgia Meloni," the American newspaper writes, underlining that "in less than a decade, the leader of the right-wing Fratelli d'Italia party went from being labeled an ultra-nationalist lunatic to being elected as Italy's prime minister and establishing herself as a figure with whom Brussels, and now Washington, can do business."
"Politico" has described her in its "influence ranking" as the perfect interpreter of the zeitgeist, the spirit of the times, "increasingly radical and flourishing on both sides of the Atlantic."
"In less than a decade, the leader of the right-wing Fratelli d'Italia - according to the American newspaper - has been considered an authoritative voice on the global political scene", in a long description that traces Meloni's rise and the main stages of her two years of government, defined as "one of the most stable that has ever existed in post-war Italy."
