Police officer Alban Tolaj was found dead today in his apartment in Pristina. Media reported that Tolaj committed suicide.

According to his friends, the death was accidental.

"Around 14:45, we received information about a lifeless body on 'Ahmet Korenica' street in Pristina. The police immediately went to the scene, as did emergency doctors, who confirmed the death of the victim, a male, 47 years old, a police officer. Based on the initial information from the scene, despite the fact that there are elements suggesting suicide, the police, in coordination with the state prosecutor, have launched an investigation into the death and are examining all aspects of the case with increased care to fully clarify the circumstances of this tragic event," said Agron Borovci.

Media in Kosovo have managed to confirm that the victim, Alban Tolaj, is the father of the well-known presenter and singer there, Elsa Tolaj.
