Numerous KFOR troops have carried out increased patrols during Friday along the border between Kosovo and Serbia.
Through a post on social networks, KFOR informs that the patrol mission is a standard procedure that the Italian ORF platoon of gendarmes carried out along the administrative border line, without giving further details.
However, there are doubts about troop patrolling, as the photos show several images of KFOR soldiers with minesweepers, or filming key bridges.
KFOR states that it is fully focused on the daily implementation of its mandate to provide a safe and peaceful environment for all communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement.
"KFOR is fully focused on the day-to-day implementation of its mandate - based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 - to provide a safe and peaceful environment for all communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement", says KFOR's standard announcement on social networks.
