A member of the Kosovo Police has died after being shot while entering his apartment.

According to the police, the incident occurred shortly before midnight on "Idriz Seferi" street, Kaçanik.

The police officer, Muhamed Lika, did not survive the injuries he sustained. Meanwhile, the perpetrator is still being sought.

"On 01.04.2025, at around 23:00, we received information that a person was injured and is in serious condition at the entrance to his building, on "Idriz Seferi" street in Kaçanik. The victim is a member of the Kosovo Police," said the police spokesman for the Ferizaj region, Kanun Veseli.

Police are continuing their investigations to unravel the incident, and there is still no information regarding the suspects or possible motives for this criminal act.
