A 41-year-old woman has lost her life as a result of the rupture of the straps that held her in the "zipline" from where she was sliding in the Bitto park in the north of Italy.

41-year-old Ghizlane Moutahir died after falling from a height of 20 meters near Lake Como, in Italy.

According to reports, the 41-year-old, Ghizlane Moutahir, was at the bottom of her 1.5 km long rapid descent, but witnesses said she began to experience problems and then fell from the straps holding her.

Groups of doctors rushed to give him first aid at the scene but it was impossible to save him, while the prosecutor's office said that it has opened an investigation.

Moutahir's two nieces, who had just finished their descent on the same line, were filming their aunt gliding at around 100 km per hour. Also, hundreds of people were yesterday at the "Fly Emotion" park, opened in 2011, which is one of the main tourist attractions of the area.

The zipline is one of the most frequented attractions in the valley that includes Albaredo, San Marco and Bema. Moutahir was traveling on the section between Albaredo and Bema, and had almost reached the arrival point when he suffered the fatal fall, media said.

"Investigations revealed that Moutahir had stopped shortly before reaching the end of the 'zipline', when he started to move and his legs were sticking out. This caused her to lose her balance and fall from the device she was holding, dying on the spot. "It is also possible that she had a panic episode or some unexpected medical condition, and we are awaiting the results of the autopsy," the police said.

Moutahir was of Moroccan origin and lived in the neighboring town of Sant'Angelo Lodigiano. She had come with her family to the park while her husband Michele had come with an emergency when he learned about the accident.
