The pain is indescribable, parents stand inconsolably in front of their children's coffin.
But in this sad event there are also couples, who suddenly lost the people with whom they thought they would spend the rest of their lives.
In their own way, those who lost their support wanted to say goodbye with heartbreaking messages on social media.
Some of the stories of couples separated by death:

Athina Katsara from Katerini was riding the ill-fated train with her husband. Shortly before the collision, the couple were not together, as her husband was in the toilet of the carriage. She is being treated at the Larisa hospital, while her husband died. Both were parents of a two-year-old child. They got married in 2019.

Dimitris Massalis, was the driver of the Intercity 62 train who lost his life instantly from the heavy collision in Tempi.
His partner, Katerina, can't believe that her partner is 'gone' so soon.
"You will always be the leader of my heart. I love you so much. Very dear, my husband, my partner, my best friend. Good luck my Dimitrakis...", wrote the 32-year-old's partner with a photo of them in each other's arms.

"On your most important trip, you didn't take me with you," wrote in his post the partner of Anastasia Adamidou, only 24 years old, who was lost in the fatal crash.
The young woman who was riding in the third carriage of the passenger train had recently graduated from AUTH's dental school and was continuing her studies to obtain her master's degree.
“Goodbye my love. I kiss you and hold you in my arms every night, it's yours as I answered when you asked me. I love you forever!", her partner wrote.
