An Albanian baby, only four months old, is hospitalized and intubated and in a very serious condition in the "Aggia Sofia" children's hospital.

Yesterday, her father was arrested after allegedly abusing the baby.

But the Greek media informs that the mother has also fallen in handcuffs.

Today, the 20-year-old father and the mother of his four-month-old baby, who is fighting for her life, will appear before the Cypriot prosecutor.

The charges against the Albanian father are attempted murder, domestic violence, as well as possession of weapons and drugs.

The 20-year-old mother was also arrested for the last two charges, after a police search of the house in Aetos revealed a cannabis plant, a pistol and cartridges.

The baby was hospitalized with severe brain damage and bruises.

Tests and a CT scan showed he has severe head injuries and bruises all over his body.

According to ERT, everything happened on Saturday afternoon, when his parents took him from a village in the municipality of Trifilisa where they live to Kyparissia hospital after the child had convulsions, from there he was transferred to Kalamata hospital yesterday evening.

Doctors at the Kalamata hospital decided to intubate the child and immediately leave for Attica Hospital. At the same time, they notified the police after discovering that the child was suffering from tremor syndrome and had bruises on his body.

The 20-year-old father of the child, an Albanian citizen, traveled with the baby to Athens, but shortly afterwards he was arrested by the authorities.
