French President Emmanuel Macron has stated that the war in Iran requires a "serious" approach and not positions that change from day to day.
During a visit to South Korea, Macron addressed reporters, emphasizing that the situation is too critical to be treated superficially.
"This is not a show. We are talking about war, peace and the lives of men and women ," he said.
Macron issued an open rebuke to the contradictory messages of the Trump administration, which has given mixed signals during the conflict, sometimes claiming that a ceasefire is close, sometimes that the war has been won, and other times that the US will continue fighting.
"When you want to be serious, you don't say every day the opposite of what you said the day before ," the French leader declared.
In closing his speech, he suggested a more restrained approach to communication: Maybe you shouldn't talk every day. You should just let things cool down.
