Assets in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, the mystery of Ali Khamenei's

Recently, attention has shifted to the vast wealth associated with the supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was killed over the weekend in Israeli airstrikes.

The wealth linked to his family and business network ranges from $100 billion to $200 billion. The funds are reportedly held in bank accounts abroad, including in Venezuela, the United Arab Emirates, Syria, France, Britain and several African countries.

Much of this wealth is tied to Setad, officially known as the Imam Khomeini Execution Order, an economic conglomerate under the authority of the supreme leader. Originally created to manage abandoned properties, Setad has grown into an economic empire with interests in energy, telecommunications, real estate, gold and diamonds.

Reports over the years have alleged that the properties of Iranian minorities and immigrants have been confiscated and included in this economic network. Investments through companies and intermediaries outside of Iran have also been mentioned, with possible financial destinations such as Liechtenstein and Switzerland. These claims, however, have not been independently confirmed.

Critics, on the other hand, have raised accusations of possession of private jets, luxury apartments and extensive family assets.
