Three Kosovo Police officers have been suspended for 72 hours due to their lack of reaction after the escort of acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti was pelted with eggs during a visit to Skenderaj.
Kurti stayed in Skenderaj for the inauguration of a nursery, while the eggs were thrown by as yet unidentified persons.
The chairman of the Self-Determination Center in Skenderaj, Hysni Mehani, held the Democratic Party of Kosovo responsible.
"Sami Lushtaku's egg attacks are proof that you have run out of gunpowder, as well as proof of the primitive mentality that leads PDK in Skënderaj and unfortunately the entire PDK ," he wrote.
Further investigations against police officers for possible violations will be conducted by the relevant competent institutions.
