US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump were seen in a seemingly tense conversation aboard the presidential helicopter Marine One , after returning from the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

In the recorded footage, the couple was communicating with gestures and visible expressions of tension as the helicopter landed on the South Lawn of the White House.

Melania was seen nodding her head and gesturing, while Donald Trump reacted by pointing.

Despite the tense exchange, the two descended from the helicopter together and walked hand in hand towards the residence, with the president greeting reporters in passing.

The visit to New York was not without its problems. Upon arrival at the UN headquarters, the Trump couple encountered a stuck escalator, forcing them to climb it manually.

The incident, interpreted by conservative commentators as "sabotage", was later clarified by the UN as a malfunction accidentally caused by a videographer from the American delegation.

President Trump then faced another technical problem: the teleprompter failed for a few seconds before his speech to the General Assembly.

" Whoever is operating this teleprompter is in big trouble ," the president declared to world leaders.
