Comedian Agron Llakaj commented on "Shqipëria Live" on the recent debate and attacks on comedians, expressing regret for his colleagues who, according to him, have become part of a campaign of accusations after the comedy sketch about the protest.

Llakaj said that he respects the positions of others and that he does not impose himself on them, but emphasized that, in his opinion, humor professionals should be responsible for their words and actions.

Speaking about colleagues who, according to him, have been involved in attacks on others, Llakaj said that they should not have been part of this situation.

Llakaj also addressed the comments that have affected his family, saying he felt sorry for the way the debate unfolded. He described the situation as a "collective hysteria" and said that violence is not only physical, but can also manifest through language.

"The first is their attitude and I do not impose myself on them and, if they were here in Portokalli, they would not sleep in this spirit. I have the necessary maturity to know that the word I say, the action I do. I was sorry, I just felt sorry for those who used it. I feel very sorry for them.

I wouldn't say the big word "I pity them", but I would say that they shouldn't have been part of the attack and this network to hit their colleagues, who sincerely deserve respect and humility. To produce humor by staying at work all day, but also at night with the dream of always doing something beautiful, without hurting anyone. Laughter is healthy and I think it's the best medicine for mental health.

-Do you feel bad when the limit is crossed and your comments as a professional move to the level of comments even from your family members?

"I'm sorry, I felt bad, but when the snowball is released, there's nothing you can do about the avalanche. I'm sorry that all this collective hysteria, somewhere, gives me the colors of not just a lynching, but the method and violence used, in the expression that violence is not only physical, there is also verbal violence."

I would say that each of them, for what they have used for me and my family, should think that they were used for their own family. However, honestly, I pity them, I do not curse, I do not insult, because I do not have this right. I am at a time at my age that I honestly do not know why you should look at life differently. I wanted to see a youth more in love with the country, more dedicated, but also with more trust in each other.

We are not so many that we can unite to build hatred against each other, to separate one side from the other. Democracy means diversity of thought and action, but all together more unified in what we call development. Humor cannot follow the tastes of the people, of the people, but humor imposes taste and is avant-garde in the social and democratic development of the country, because it is eternal opposition.

"A comedian cannot be an opposition figure for some time and a buffoon of the authorities for some time, no, this is uncompromising. That's why I would say: Look at the laughter in the eyes, look at the laughter with your heart, give laughter a portrait, a face, a soul, and see us as people who not only entertain, but through laughter we also offer civic messages," said Agron Llakaj.
