One of the indicators that most signals the impact of the price crisis on the economy of Albanian families is that of deposits. "Scan intel" has analyzed and processed the official figures to understand in which cities of the country the price crisis has had the most impact. The official figure refers to the second quarter of the year, only for individuals, a period that also coincides with the start of the crisis. The analyzed and processed figures show that in 3 of the 8 cities that the Bank of Albania reports, and which also coincide with 8 of the largest counties in the country, the bank deposits of individuals have shrunk during the second quarter of the year, compared to the first quarter , when the crisis had not yet peaked.

The three cities that, according to these figures, seem to be the ones most affected by the price crisis are: Fieri, Shkodra and Vlora.

In Fier, the deposits of individuals in the banking sector, both in Lek and in foreign currency, decreased by 0.04% in the second quarter of the year, compared to the preceding quarter.

It is followed by Shkodra, with a contraction of individual deposits of 0.12%.

Meanwhile, Vlora seems to be the city most "hit" by the crisis, with bank deposits of individuals decreasing by 0.44% in the second quarter of the year, compared to the first quarter. From the opposite side of the table, as the cities where it seems that the crisis has had no effect, at least in terms of deposits, it turns out that Tirana is the leader, with an increase in deposits by 2.74%, followed by Durres, with a 1.14% increase and Lezha with 1.03% increase. Elbasan and Korça also recorded an increase in bank deposits for individuals during the April-June period of this year, although in lower terms. In other cities which do not have a geographic reference meanwhile, it turns out that deposits have increased in total by about 1.3%.

Meanwhile, with fairly minor changes, we also notice the ranking in absolute terms. In Fier, bank deposits decreased by 23 million ALL, in Shkodër by 62 million ALL and in Vlora by 332 million ALL, or about 2.9 million euros. Meanwhile, in Tirana, bank deposits of individuals during the three months when the crisis peaked increased by 12.3 billion ALL, or about 105 million euros.
