Border crossing fee for flights drops to 1 euro per passenger

A joint instruction from the Ministry of Finance and Infrastructure has lowered the border crossing fee for any passenger moving by air in Albania.

This tariff, from 2014, was 10 euros.

The new guidelines stipulate its reduction to just one euro. Prime Minister Edi Rama said during the landing of the first plane at The Airport of Kukes that the removal of this tariff would further lower ticket prices and make Rinas a more attractive airport for foreign flights "low cost".

However, the tariff was not lifted at all, but was left at 1 euro per passenger, according to the instruction of the two ministries.
