From year to year, the number of cars in Albania increases. Referring to data from the General Directorate of Road Transport Services, over 69,000 vehicles in total were registered in the span of 8 months.

The month of July so far marks the month with the highest number of vehicles registered, reaching 10,724 vehicles. From the total number of vehicle registrations, the largest share is occupied by cars, which are 58,193 registered so far.

While divided according to the year of production, there are over 15,000 vehicles registered over 15 years, over 31,000 for those with 9-15 years of production, and about 4,600 for those 5-8 years. But the cars that have been registered from 0-4 years of production are also on the upward trend, reaching over 7,400 of them.

Referring to the same data, in terms of the country of origin, in these 8 months, vehicles registered from Italy occupy the first place at 12677 such, but with a small difference at 12159 vehicles, they are in second place from Korea. In third place are those from Germany, then Switzerland, and in fifth place are the vehicles registered from the United States of America.

According to the regional directorates, Tirana has the highest number of registrations, which amounts to 29,761 vehicles. Then Durrës with 11,174 such and the Fier directorate takes the third place with 5,671 vehicles registered for the first time. While the directorate of Gjirokastra took the last place, reaching a total of 836 vehicles registered for the first time in these 8 months.
