Premier League bans Serbs in Kosovo / Only Digitalb has the right to broadcast

DigitAlb is the only company that has the right to broadcast the Premier League in the territory of Kosovo. This is what the Premier League itself points out, in a reply letter addressed to the MP of Kosovo, at the same time the chairman of the Parliamentary Media Committee, Valon Ramadani.

The latter had requested clarification from the Premier League regarding the broadcasting of the Premier League in Kosovo by the ArtMotion company, through the channels of the Serbian platform Arena Sport, and the response of the English authorities is clear and exhaustive.

"The Premier League has not directly authorized ArtMotion to broadcast the English Championship matches in Kosovo and has not authorized Arena Sport to allow Artmotion to broadcast the same matches within the territory of Kosovo," states the Premier League's official response letter for deputy Ramadani.

The Premier League also clarifies that, to its knowledge, Arena Sport has versions of sports channels in Kosovo without the matches of the elite English football championship. From the Premier League's response, it is clear that the broadcast of the English championship from platforms other than DigitAlbit was done illegally and as such should be dealt with by the Independent Media Commission in Kosovo.

This commission blocked the broadcast of the Arena channels in Kosovo in October, after they showed spots that martyred the extremists who organized the armed attack in Banjska, but decided to allow them again in February this year, ignoring the constant letters of the Premier Leagues, which makes it clear that only the company DigitAlb and local platforms authorized by it have the broadcasting rights for Albania and Kosovo.
