Road maintenance, ARRSH re-announces three 5 million euro lots

A procurement procedure that basically has the maintenance of several roads in the East Center region in Korça, with a limited fund of 5.4 million euros, has been re-announced again in the system of the Public Procurement Agency after the review of the documents.

The subject of the tender is "Contracts for works and maintenance of national roads (maintenance contracts), Center East Korça Region (Republication of 3 lots)" which was announced for the first time in June 2024. Complaints made to the Public Procurement Commission caused the latter in July to request the modification of the procurement documents, preventing the contracting authority from continuing the procurement procedure.

What are the lots re-announced after the revision of documents as requested by KPP?

First Lot 3: Maintenance with performance: Korçë – Erseke (New road) (34.2), and Deg. District of Qarit – Erseke (old road) (25.1), 55.9 kilometers.

This road axis connects the city of Korça with that of Erseka, Leskovik, Përmet and Gjirokastra. "It is a national road axis of the southeast with a two-way carriageway.

It is divided into 2 road segments due to its specifics. The first segment starts from the city of Korçë - Qafa e Qarri with a length of L=17.2 km. This segment was newly built in 2015-2018 with a road width of 7 m and with two directions of movement. The second segment begins at the top of Qafa e Qarri – Erseke with a length of L= 17.2 km.

It is a road segment under construction. (new road, on a new track), stretching from Qafa e Qarri towards the Mollas valley and further towards Erseka with the meeting point, the Erseka Ring. There is a two-way carriageway with a road width of 7 m," the documents state.

Second Lot 4: Maintenance with performance: Ring – Erseke (2.1) + Erseke – Leskovik (42.8) + Rr. Leskovik – Three Bridges (Customs) (13.7), 58.7 kilometers.

This road is a segment that serves as the Ring of the city of Erseka. The importance of this axis is great because as a ring, in addition to connecting the cities of Korça Erseka, Leskovik, Përmet and Gjirokastra, it serves for the traffic of heavy vehicles. It is a road with a two-way carriageway.

Third Lot 5: Maintenance with performance: Libonik – Lozhan – Molla Grabovë (Gramsh border), 53.1 kilometers. This road connects the city of Korça with the Hydropower Plant of Moglica and then with the cities of Gramsh and Elbasan. Part of the national axis that connects the areas of Korçë with those of Gramsh, as a connecting axis between Korçë District and Elbasan District. It is a road with a two-way carriageway.
