Smart energy meters, after the pilot phase in Kashar also in three new regions

After installing smart meters in a pilot project in Tirana, specifically in the Kashari area to see the effects of the implementation, OSHEE Group seems to extend this process to new regions. A procedure opened in the system of the Public Procurement Agency has as its object "Installation of the intelligent energy balance measurement system in TM-TU electric cabins, in private consumers, Software and their integration with the MDM platform" with a limited fund of 119 million lek or about 1.15 million euros.

Referring to the report that accompanies the procedure opened by the Regional Directorate of DSO Tirana, details are given on this project.

"DSO, what a shame. has implemented the installation of smart meters in a number of TM-TU Cabins. (balance measurement). Also, in the Tirana region, the installation of smart metering has been carried out in TM-TU cabins and in end consumers in feeders F7 and F8 coming out of N/Stacioni Kashar. In continuation of previous investments DSO sha. will continue the installation of smart metering in the coming years in fulfillment of the strategy of developing the metering system in smart metering. The installation of smart meters foresees the technical requirements for "Supply, Placement and Installation of the Smart Balance Metering System in the electrical cabins of OSSH s.a., of smart meters in private end consumers, Software and their integration into the MDMS platform ( Meter data management system)', including the Head End System (HES)', explains OSHEE.

In a separate table, the relationship specifies that at least 1,622 smart meters are expected to be installed on customers in several regions.

"With this investment, the installation of smart balance meters of TM-TU electric cabins will be done in the Shkodër (Shëngjin) region, the Tirana region and in the Vlorë unit. The installation of smart meters in private end consumers will be done in the Shkodër, Durrës regions and in the Vlora unit," the report states.

Specifically, according to the table, 309 will be in the Lezhë substation, at least 274 in two substations in Shkodër, about 110 in Vlora, 375 in Shkozet, 152 in Spitalle, 142 in Kavajë, 116 in Golem, 45 in Gjirin e Lalzi and 116 in Sallmone .

The installation of smart meters is a project that has been talked about for a long time and aims to reduce losses in addition to facilitating billing and other work processes of OSHEE. An ERE study of meters installed in Kashar concluded that distribution cuts in this area decreased by 7.5 percent.
