Russian gas company Gazprom said it is continuing to supply Europe with natural gas through the pipeline that passes through Ukraine, despite the war between the two countries.
The Russian state-owned company said gas shipments for 17 April were made according to the European market order.
The statement says that for this date it has transferred 57 million cubic meters of gas to the European Union market.
The statement was made a few days after Moscow closed the deadline for all gas-buying countries to pay it with rubles, as Russia has been hit by harsh Western sanctions and has its accounts abroad in blocked foreign currency.
