The Anti-Informality Unit will identify the 100 richest people in Albania and will verify whether they pay full taxes on their income.

In an interview for Euronews Albania, the chairwoman of this unit, Vasilika Vjero says that this list will be further expanded and in this process will be included data from the Police and the Prevention of Money Laundering.

" The register with the richest people will be made. Identifying these individuals is a delicate and difficult process. The data coming from the Police, the Directorate of Prevention and Money Laundering will be used ", said Vjero.

The first to be in the magnifying glass of tax inspectors is the sector of employees in trade, insurance market, construction and individuals who lead luxury lives.

"We have identified high-risk sectors and the result is trade, construction, insurance, which are a new market and individuals lead luxurious lives," said Vjero.
