The Health Care Services Operator has opened the tender for the purchase of drugs and medical materials for the health centers that serve the summer and winter tourist areas.
The limit fund made available is 22.5 million ALL, while medicines and medical materials will serve for a period of 12 months. According to the tender documents, there are 74 health centers that cover the winter season and another 30 centers that serve during the summer season.
The opening of these health centers is carried out in order to support the tourism sector, as this policy has been in place for several years. Since its launch, the number of centers that offer health services to tourists has increased, as a few days ago it was announced that this year there will be an increase in ambulances that will offer health services to citizens.
More specifically, in order to cope with the growing flow of tourists, from June 1, it is planned to start offering the service in 4 more centers in Hamallaj, Radomirë, Jalë and Bogë, bringing the total number to 34.
During the summer season, 10 health centers will operate in the north of the country, 9 health centers in Central Albania and 15 more in the southern area. Currently, work has begun on the recruitment of medical staff, who will be available to vacationers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
