The new tourism law will increase the amount of fines against entities or accommodation structures that abuse, but on the other hand, support measures will be added to finance tourism projects. According to the director of the Association of Restaurants and Inns, Arben Sinojmer, this law must be implemented as soon as possible so that this profitable sector is formalized.
But is an increase in prices expected in accommodation structures?
"There are many entities, tourist units that have fully invested everything and it is not normal and fair that they are competed by incorrect entities that abuse and speculate thanks to the loopholes and indifference of the local or central government bodies in many cases, " said Arben Sinojmeri, Director of the Association of Restaurants and Inns
"Often there are some postulates that prices will increase by 35%, I don't know where they support it, but there will certainly be some price increase. There will be because this comes as a function of both the supply and the demand we have, or the interest shown by tourists. But I think this price should be absolutely supported and controlled on cost and on real profit margins. If it will simply be a matter of wishes or interests of one business or another, this would bring a big boomerang for tourism", Sinojmeri said.
But how can the tracking of a citizen who has rented his house in the form of an accommodation structure be done? What will be the links to track him down?
"I think a task force of the ministry combined very well with the specific task for local governments, they should have their own units that we can reach, not only control, but help, advise, and do it is clear that this path will not continue indefinitely. We will stop for the reason that I, who have a house for rent, cannot compete with a business that pays taxes, pays services, pays social security", Sinojmeri added.
