The instruction of the Ministry of Agriculture "On the criteria, procedures and method of administration of the fund of the program for agriculture" is published by Scan TV.

There are 8 categories that will benefit from the support programs, the innovation is the fact that through the scheme for 2024, the union of farmers who do not meet the defined threshold will also be targeted. That being said, with the changes made, the opportunity was created for farmers who have less than 10 cows, or less than 100 small cattle, to benefit from the support funds. The only condition is that they must be registered, i.e. equipped with NIPT, as well as join together, or apply in a group.

"The group of farmers is created within the administrative boundaries of a municipality. In the case when one or more members of the "Group of Farmers" after the administrative control of the documentation or field verification, it turns out that they do not meet the criteria for benefiting from the support measure, the other members of the group do not benefit from support either", the instruction states, where it is also emphasized that in the case of a group application, there must be a contract for the sale of milk to a licensed entity.

The contract stipulates that the amount of milk sold is no less than 30 percent of the group's production. The same criteria apply to small livestock as well as to beekeepers, who must also deliver 30 percent of production, as well as to growers of medicinal plants.

Whereas for farmers who cultivate vegetables, grapes or strawberries, the condition for joining must be the cultivation of the same crop for at least one season. As for oil, the innovation is that, unlike previous years, the subsidy will go through the bank account.

The instruction also details the application procedure that must be followed by citizens.

Upon completion of the application phase, the system automatically generates lists of applicants for each support measure. Within 20 calendar days, AZHBR announces the list of qualified applications and the documents that must be submitted in the second phase.

Applications will start at the end of March, specifically on March 27 and will close on April 19. We remind you that in support of the agricultural sectors, about 30 million euros have been made available for the year 2024.

Categories that will benefit from agricultural support schemes

· Support for cows, in the amount of 10,000 ALL per head, for herds of more than 10 heads on the farm.

· Small cattle, with a support of 1200 lek per head, for herds over 100 heads per farm.

· Support for beekeeping in the amount of 1000 ALL per hive, where the farm must have at least 50 hives.

· Support for vegetables, strawberries and table grapes in greenhouses worth 200,000 ALL per hectare, but not more than two seasons and not less than one hectare of farm.

· Support for medicinal plants with a value of 30,000 Lek per hectare, in no less than 1 cultivated hectare.

· Oil for agriculture through the bank account

· Support for the certification of organic farms.

· Implementation and global GAP certification, including covering the costs of product analysis, in vegetables, fruits, grapes, olives and other agricultural crops, to the extent of 50% of the total value of the tax invoice
