You know that truly dramatic story of those Japanese soldiers who, back in the 50s, were still stuck somewhere on an island and wouldn't surrender. "Get out!" - they were told that "the Second World War is over!" Did they understand? Not at all! Enemy propaganda - they thought!
Even Albanians, up until the third quarter of the 19th century, thought that the Ottoman Empire was eternal, they did not understand that it was dead. Other peoples had left them in good health. Even Bab Haxhi Qamili, even during the First World War, was still looking for the Sultan. He wanted Baba, but he was gone!
The Quislings remembered that in the 1940s they were really the government of Albania, and they convinced themselves that the Hitlerites had simply come on vacation, just to pass by!!! Where the hell were they going from here?
When other socialist countries threw Stalinism aside after 1956, Albanian communists thought that Stalin was the father of nations. They still stuck to Stalinism!
Even in 1989, the East joined the West in an open world, we stood at the bridge.
It is in the EU now, and two thousand years later in the open Balkans!
Historians, economists, let alone MPs, remember that the world is still under capitalism, and they shamelessly say that we are building capitalism! Or: Well, that's how capitalism works!
The others have fled to post-capitalist society or whatever you call it. Capitalism has ended in time and in fact in the West! Because historians, economists, sociologists, political scientists, who knows who else, have not read Schumpeter, nor his major works!
Capitalism is broken!
The first is ownership. The capitalist owner is not the one who runs the property, but the white collars! In our country, the owner is both an administrator and a technician, and even when he takes over from them, he actually runs it himself.
The second is from the point of view of classes and social strata. The middle and especially small classes and property classes have shrunk. But here, you open a counter, a car repair shop, a store, a pub, and you say you have a business!
Third, from a financial perspective. The little money that is kept for personal use comes from property, it is reinvested. While the upper classes of society get their money from the services they provide. In our country, only one or two or three service professions earn, others, the wealthy make billions and millions from property and traffic, living in luxury, while the rest of us do what services? Or bend your waist or be unemployed.
Fourth, from the point of view of decision-making. It is the voters who ultimately decide in the West, it doesn't matter how much or how little one likes. Whereas here, the ruling class, especially the deputies, depend on the will of the party leaders, they are their soldiers, puppets, and whoever comes to power doesn't come down unless the horse dies!
Fifth, some light-hearted people think that perfect competition reigns in the West, as in the 17th, 18th centuries, or even a little later. They don't know that healthy monopoly has corrected the destructive excesses of free competition! Here, there are seven pharmacies in three meters! Monopoly is called everything bad, no matter what!
And yes, capitalism! - say the ignorant, as in the EU, in America, in the Nordic countries... But there capitalism has collapsed. Do you know the great theory of "Schumpeter's creative destruction"?
Continue to hold seminars, scientific conferences, trainings, and even get titles!
Meanwhile, the country's social and economic model has remained the same as the time of Bab Haxhi Qamili!
It's stuck in capitalism :))
We are an era behind!
