The year is SPAK

When you have a new structure, when you have prosecutors who have passed the vetting, when you have unlimited financial and diplomatic support, normally you have great expectations from SPAK prosecutors. And the expectation is professional. It expects people with moral and professional integrity to do their job properly.

It is understandable that in political matters, in major matters, the pressure on prosecutors is so great that it affects their work, but when you see "banality" in mundane matters, the question marks come and grow.

A recent case:

SPAK accuses the former chief of the criminal police in Elbasan of passive corruption.

Where is the corruption and what has the boss done?

While he was in office, as a boss, he took a TT pistol as a weapon of a crime and placed it under the tank of a service car, to blame Sei and Albert Manhasa, the owners of the service.

Police arrest father and son. Six family members are accompanied to the police station. This event itself is a crime in itself. It is more than alarming…! There have been people in prison whose only crime is that they were at their job!

If the prosecutors in SPAK would make a criminal qualification of the offense, then they would refer to chapter IX of the criminal code (criminal offenses against justice) and at least two of its articles, for actions that prevent the disclosure of the truth and for reporting fake.

For the service he did, the former boss received a Mercedes Benz C300 car from the person involved in this manipulation of evidence and the scene (also in the custody of SPAK). This is the charge. So passive corruption for a police officer?!!

Apparently SPAK tries little, or not at all, for an adequate criminal qualification of criminal offenses even for an "ordinary" matter. It is too much to ask for other matters.

And this is not the only case.

A boy engineer is arrested for a crime he committed in a call center. The crime has lasted for two years. The engineer had only started working there for two months?!! And this engineer is deprived of freedom for 4 months!

Is it time for SPAK itself to see what it has investigated? What issue is he proud of during these years? What should I do to boost faltering public confidence? Where did he go wrong? Where is it (self) used?

We do not expect "wood with prey" from SPAK, we expect quality, we expect exemplary investigations, we expect cases that explain the mechanism of evil, we expect investigations against people in power. A lot is expected because a lot has been invested in them.
