Critical situation due to fire in Puka

The fire situation in the country continues to be problematic, with several active fires in different areas. In Gojan, Puka, the fire is spreading rapidly, favored by strong winds, approaching homes.

The Municipality of Puka has ordered the immediate evacuation of the residents of the village of Gojan i Madh, in the Gjegjan Administrative Unit, due to the spread of fire and the danger to the lives and properties of the residents.

The order was signed by the Mayor of Puka Municipality, Rrok Dodaj, as part of emergency measures to cope with the situation created by the massive fire.

According to the order, the evacuation process will be carried out in coordination with the National Civil Protection Agency, the Prefect of Shkodra District, the civil emergency structures of the Puka Municipality, the State Police and the Fire Protection and Rescue services.

Priority in evacuation will be given to children, infants, the elderly, people with chronic illnesses, people with disabilities, and families located in isolated areas or at high risk from fires.

The evacuated residents will be accommodated in the premises of the "Ali Bytyçi" Dormitory in Puka, where, according to the Municipality, measures have been taken for housing, food and medical services.

The transportation of residents will be provided by the logistical means of the Puka Municipality, the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the State Police, while the Armed Forces may be engaged if additional support is required.
