May 11 elections: 42% of diaspora votes have not yet been returned, 10% of

10% of the diaspora registered to vote from abroad, or 24 thousand voters, have not yet received their election envelopes, while 20 thousand of them risk not being distributed at all, due to incorrect addresses.

221,653 people have received election envelopes and 144,783 individuals have already brought their votes to the CEC. Votes returned make up 65% of those who received the packages, or 58% of all those registered.

The CEC is no longer acting in the same way as it did at the beginning, when it suggested voters wait for the doorman at home, but asks immigrants to report to DHL.

"All those voters from abroad, anywhere in the world, but especially those in Greece, who to date have not received notification and/or have not been contacted by DHL, either via e-mail or via SMS, are requested to contact the DHL service in the country where they live, to be informed about the postal delivery by the CEC.

The lack of notification or contact of these voters so far by DHL is mainly due to problems with the residential address declared in the PER, which does not match the current address in the field, or due to the use of Albanian contact numbers, where the voter does not have access", the CEC announcement states.

Greece has improved some figures, where out of a total of 68 thousand votes expected, 23,640 votes have come. Envelopes that have not been withdrawn or distributed until May 8 will be returned to Albania.
