Cannabis factory discovered in Scottish town

One of the largest illegal cannabis production plants has been discovered in the Scottish Borders, in the small town of Selkirk.

Authorities say an abandoned three-story factory in the city had been turned into a giant narcotic plant cultivation facility. Inside it were found hundreds of cannabis roots with a market value of around £1.2 million.

And while the entire area is surrounded by police tapes, no one has been arrested yet.

The police suspect that there are Albanians involved in this illegal activity.

Last month, more than 400 cannabis plants were seized by police a few kilometers away in the opposite direction, in Haëick. Two men from Albania were handcuffed on charges of cultivating cannabis.
