The prosecution of Elbasan has requested life imprisonment for Ardit Hida, the author of the murder and wounding of the Kovaçi brothers in 2021 in Elbasan.

In November 2021, after an argument, Hida shot and killed Florenc Kovaci, 28, and wounded his brother Mikel Kovaci, 19 at the time.

"The Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of Elbasan General Jurisdiction has given the final conclusions within the framework of criminal proceedings No. 1695 of 2021, in charge of the defendant Ardit Hida accused of committing the criminal offense of "Murder under other circumstances qualifying" provided by article 79/dh of the Penal Code to the detriment of the victims F. Kovaci and M. Kovaci, event that occurred on 05.11.2021 in the place called "Old Sport" Elbasan, where the defendant intentionally shot with sharp tool in the direction of citizens M. and F. Kovaci, causing the death of citizen F. Kovaci and seriously injuring citizen M. Kovaci.

In conclusion, the guilty declaration of the defendant Ardit Hida, for the commission of the criminal offense of "Murder in other qualifying circumstances" committed against two or more persons, of which one remains in the attempt provided by article 79 letter " dh" of K.Penal, and on the basis of this provision his sentence with life imprisonment", announces the Prosecution of Elbasan.
